We’re all gonna die

Recently I’ve been noticing a few odd stories about the nuclear reactors up at Limerick shutting down for unknown reasons. First one reactor (twice), then the other. Fortunately, the good people at Exelon say that while they have no idea why the reactors keep shutting themselves off, everything is just fine. And since the best coverage to date is on the Malvern Patch site, I’m sure there’s really nothing to worry about.

Meanwhile, my mind is doing what comes natural to me, which is making up wild scenarios about how we’re all doomed. My current paranoid theory has something to do with Iran seeking vengeance for that whole Stuxnet thing by hacking whatever cut rate security measures Exelon has haphazardly deployed to prevent it. But anyway, I have no evidence of any of this. I just read the New Yorker a lot. While we wait someone to apply the patch or for the meltdown/fallout, here’s a pretty picture of the Limerick plant:
